Kerry Makes Campaign Stop in Farreta

Farreta, March 9, 2004 - With the Super Tuesday primaries and caucuses just two days away, Democratic presidential candidate hopeful Bob Kerry made his first visit to Anbara in a bid for the state’s 89 delegates. Kerry is heavily favored to win in Anbara following his lopsided victories during last week’s Junior Tuesday primaries and Thursday’s New York primary. The senator gave a brief speech in Capitol Park and made an appearance at the Winston-Williams electronics plant in Treslagos. During his appearance Kerry praised the plant, calling it an “outstanding example of America’s ability to compete with the world.” With 88 delegates, Anbara is third behind Texas (123) and Florida (98) with the largest number of delegates available in Super Tuesday’s primaries. Presidential hopefuls John Edwards and Howard Dean visited Nordstrom in late February to woo Anbara voters. An Anbara Times poll released today gives Kerry 54% of the primary vote, followed by Edwards with 24%, Dean with 18%, and 6% undecided.
